Job Title: Data Research – Database Engineer
Location: Remote
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
Role Summary:
We are seeking a Database Engineer with strong experience in SQL, Python, OOPs, and cloud-based database platforms, especially AWS RDS and Google BigQuery. The candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and managing complex database systems and ensuring seamless data access, transformation, and integration within cloud environments.
This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone with experience in both data engineering and cloud infrastructure, with an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and manage scalable and secure databases using AWS RDS, Google BigQuery, or other cloud-based platforms
Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analytics
Build and maintain Python-based data tools, scripts, and automation workflows
Apply OOPs principles to structure robust and maintainable Python code for data engineering tasks
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support data needs and pipeline enhancements
Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and availability
Ensure data integrity, security, and backup/recovery processes
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in SQL and database engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs)
Experience working with AWS RDS (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server)
Exposure to Google BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
Familiarity with data pipeline tools and orchestration is a plus
Understanding of cloud infrastructure, security, and cost optimization
