Qualys is seeking a Front End Software Engineer to join our team. As a Front End Software Engineer, you'll be tasked with creating modern, intuitive, data-driven, progressive webapps for our multiple SaaS products. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about front-end technologies and who enjoys the unique responsibility of helping to define the customer experience.
Responsibilities
- You will collaborate with a UX/UI designer and other front-end and middle-tier engineers to Design, Prototype, and Build technical projects and initiatives across organization.
- Hands-on development of proof of concepts and evaluation of new technologies
- Stay on the leading edge of technologies, industry trends and drive technical innovations
- Champion best practices and innovative techniques for scalability, reliability, and performance optimizations.
- Customer delight! Yes, you will be in charge of ensuring that the customer's experience is seamless. To understand the product, new requirements, and workflows, you must collaborate closely with our Product Managers and Engineering team.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years front-end development experience.
- The fundamentals: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Must have an excellent understanding of the browser DOM.
- Proficient in native JavaScript as well as one or more frameworks such as ReactJS, etc. Knowledge of webpack and redux would be an advantage.
- Proven experience designing, building, improving, and operating high-performance, scalable front-end systems
- Extensive experience with client-side technologies & modern frameworks (e.g., Javascript, Typescript, React)
- Experienced in building Responsive UI
- Proficient with debugging and testing tools to troubleshoot and optimize the UI.
- Understanding of accessibility, 508 compliance.
- Understanding of front-end security best practices and XSS, CSRF, etc.
- Experienced in building Progressive Web Apps
- Proficiency in modern coding and design practices. For example, Clean Code, SOLID principals, and TDD
- Knowledge of back-end technologies and how they integrate with front-end systems.
- Good to have some knowledge of backend/middle-ware development in java or python.
