Full Stack Engineer - SCC Subscriptions
Job Description
The Role
We’re looking for a highly motivated and passionate Full Stack Engineer to join our SUSE Customer Center Subscriptions engineering team. You'll be joining a mission critical group responsible for creating thoughtful, engaging, and forward looking solutions for our customers and partners using the SUSE Customer Center, SUSE Private Registry, SUSE Registry and beyond. You will support business growth in line with our ambitious objectives and company culture.
Focus Areas
Collaborate with other engineers and architects to implement features, fix bugs, optimize performance, and design new solutions for the SUSE Registry, SUSE Private Registry, SUSE Customer Center, and related services
Act as a technical leader in projects, providing direction to team activities and facilitating team decision-making processes
Participate in technical design and code review processes
Work on Frontend and Backend tasks using mostly Ruby (on Rails) and Go
Contribute to the team’s open source projects and upstream projects
Contribute to existing documentation and/or educational content based on product requirements and user feedback
Contribute to maintaining a positive, healthy and inclusive learning culture
Work in a geographically distributed agile team
Preferred Experience & Skills
Software development experience with one or more general purpose programing languages (e.g. Ruby, Go, Python)
Experience in HTML, CSS & JavaScript
Experience with at least one modern Javascript framework
Expertise in container development
Experience working with Container Registries (e.g. Distribution, Harbor, Nexus or alternatives)
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redis)
Familiarity with Linux, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS and cloud technologies
Personal Attributes
Ability to communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate different options with stakeholders
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, transparency, and drive
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
