About the role
AGL’s Renewables team have an opportunity for a Graduate Environment Advisor.
This is a newly created opportunity for a passionate graduate to pursue rewarding and long-term career in environmental management within the renewable energy sector. This role offers hands-on experience supporting environmental programs across our Hydro, Wind, and Battery sites.
You'll support environmental compliance, risk management, and sustainability initiatives while developing your expertise through mentoring and real-world project delivery.
What you’ll do:
- Support implementation of environmental management systems and regulatory compliance
- Assist with environmental audits, site inspections, and risk assessments
- Contribute to sustainability reporting and waste management data tracking
- Help develop environmental awareness training and documentation
- Build relationships with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and contractors
- Monitor environmental performance and drive continuous improvement
- Travel to operational throughout Vic, SA & NSW to our renewable generation sites to support environmental management activities
What you’ll bring:
- Relevant tertiary degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Passion for environmental management and eagerness to learn
- Understanding of Australian environmental legislation
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented mindset with collaborative approach
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites across Australia
- Strong planning and time management capabilities
