Position Title: Guidewire Senior BA Lead

Location: Pune/ Bangalore / Hyderabad/ Chennai / Kolkata

Experience Range: 12 -16 Years


A Guidewire Business Analyst who play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within  the insurance industry, focusing on the Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications.


Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering: The primary responsibility is to collect, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders, including underwriters, claims adjusters, and billing teams. This involves understanding both functional and non-functional requirements to ensure the system meets business needs. 

Stakeholder Collaboration: Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, the Guidewire Business Analyst facilitates communication and collaboration. This includes leading workshops, sprint planning, and providing updates on project status. 

System Configuration and Customization: Work closely with configuration teams to define product designs, user interfaces, and business rules using Guidewire tools. ensure that the system configurations align with the documented requirements. 

Testing and Validation: Involvement in various testing activities is essential, including functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing. verify the system meets the required specifications and business needs. 

Process Improvement: Evaluate existing insurance processes and identify opportunities for improvement, propose solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the Guidewire system. 


Documentation and Reporting: Creating detailed documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications, is a critical part of the role. 

Subject Matter Expertise: The analyst serves as a subject matter expert on insurance processes and Guidewire applications, providing insights and guidance to various teams, including engineering, QA, and support. 


Skills Required

Strong analytical abilities to assess business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and technical teams.

A solid understanding of insurance principles, including policies, claims, and underwriting processes, is essential for success in this role. 

Familiarity with Guidewire applications and tools, as well as general software development practices, is beneficial.
