The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio
At Personio, we're not just selling software-we're driving transformation in how businesses manage their people. This high-impact, second-line leadership role is all about building and guiding high-performing teams to maximize renewals and expansion, and cross-sell opportunities, while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You'll be at the heart of shaping our Net Revenue Retention (NRR) strategy and influencing executive-level decisions, all while fostering a world-class sales culture that drives sustained growth.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
Strategic Leadership & Execution
  • Own and drive Renewal and Expansion across our DACH customer base - set and execute the strategy to maximize renewals, expansion, and cross-sell (Payroll & Apps).
  • Lead high-performing teams - Inspire, mentor, and develop commercial Account Managers to exceed ambitious renewal and expansion goals.
  • Optimize sales processes - Leverage data, insights, and best practices to improve performance, efficiency, and team productivity.
  • Cross-functional collaboration - Work closely with Customer Success, Cross-sell, Product, and RevOps teams to drive business results and customer outcomes.

Revenue & Customer Growth
  • Ensure teams consistently hit revenue and renewal targets - Own the numbers and drive accountability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strengthen executive-level customer relationships - Engage directly with key existing customers to drive retention, upsell, and long-term partnerships.
  • Champion customer success - Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction while balancing business growth and commercial objectives.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
  • Proven sales leadership - 5+ years in SaaS sales, renewals and account management leadership roles, with 3+ years managing teams at 2nd-line level
  • Growth mindset & results focus - A track record of exceeding revenue targets, leading large customer teams, and driving strategic growth initiatives.
  • Executive-level relationship building - Experience engaging C-level stakeholders and navigating complex customer organizations.
  • Cross-functional leadership - Ability to collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive GTM excellence.
  • Winning mentality - Self-motivated, results-driven, and ready to scale a high-performing sales function. Strategic thinking / problem solving skills.
  • Fluent in English & German.
