Position Overview:

The Head of Legal will serve as a strategic partner , providing expert legal counsel and leadership. This role involves overseeing all legal matters, managing a legal team, and ensuring that the company operates within the bounds of the law while achieving its business objectives in different jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

- Lead and inspire current legal team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture, contributing towards achieving common goals.

- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for legal team members.

Partnership and consultation:

- Interaction and cooperation with external consultants and advisors in different jurisdictions.

- Establishing strong relationships with various stakeholders.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess legal risks associated with business operations and develop strategies for risk mitigation.

- Collaborate with other departments to integrate legal considerations into business decisions.

Venture investments:

- Playing a vital role in venture investments, managing legal aspects of venture capital deals, conducting due diligence, and negotiating deal terms.

Legal Strategy and Leadership:

- Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the company's business goals.

- Provide strategic legal advice.

Regulatory Compliance and Tax management:

- Ensure the company's and subsidiary organizations’ administration and compliance with all relevant laws and legal issues, regulations, and industry standards.

- Handling tax-related matters, provide effective tax strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

- Stay abreast of changes in legislation and proactively advise on compliance matters.

Transaction Management and Company Operations:

- Overseeing all legal aspects of company transactions and ensuring the smooth operation of the company.

- Ensuring that all business transactions are legally sound and align with the company's objectives.

Contract Management:

- Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and review of complex contracts and agreements.

- Ensure contracts align with business objectives and mitigate legal risks.

Litigation Management:

- Oversee legal disputes, including litigation strategy and management.

- Collaborate with external counsel and represent the company's interests in legal proceedings. Policy Development:

- Develop, review, and update company policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.

You have:

- 2+ years of proven experience in crypto/blockchain spheres is a must;

- 2+ years of managerial experience is a must;

- LLB/LLM or equivalent degree in law. A common law jurisdiction degree or proven work experience with common law and law of the United States is a must;

- 5+ years PQE within a PE/VC, IT businesses or relevant field in private practice/legal firms;

- Strong business acumen and the ability to align legal strategies with overall business objectives;

- Excellent English written and oral communication skills;

- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;

- Excellent stakeholder management, internally and externally;

- Good team player, self-motivated and adaptable.
