About the role:
The role entails leading the Retail sales GTM, trade marketing, scale up of traditional trade business and infra; sales capability agenda for McCain India on a Pan India capacity. This is a critical leadership role and reports to the business head of Retail business.
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop an effective & efficient Go to Market strategy (GTM) to build a long-term sustainable business. Review the working, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of GTM, methods, costs, and results in partnership with regional teams.
  • Driving the AOC numbers through structured BTL interventions across regions. Plan, strategize and implement BTL inputs to drive Top Line and Bottom-line numbers
  • Conceptualize & execute sales development activities, sales policies, processes, reporting/data analytics to delivery of short term and long-term business goals.
  • Work with the regional teams & lead the agenda on business process re-engineering; ensure preparedness required for the platforms and track the execution of the same
  • Assess sales force capability; develop capability build modules and collaborate with regional teams in delivery, execution and maintenance.
  • Lead the agenda on sales automation for all business channels in partnership with sales IS manager; drive adherence to sales IT deployment plan and carry out necessary course corrections basis on ground realities; Analyze smiles data to develop insights and use the same to drive business.
  • Identify and investigate market level growth opportunities through improved channel mix and product mix. Also, understand, drive and report Retail Channel Category wise contribution highlights.
  • Planning and delivery of trade initiatives such as Displays, Contests, Schemes, Consumer promotions, Activations etc to drive volume and also build consumer awareness at store level.
  • Anchor the asset management agenda for McCain through continuous refinement of processes, review, track and reporting. Consistently review space utilization in McCain freezers and optimize space to maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with Marketing function to understand brand/category requirements from an S&D point of view; translate the need to S&D actions; execute and review delivery vs plans.
  • Anchor the processes on annual AOC target setting, monthly/quarterly reviews, monthly S&OP forecasting
  • Collaborate with regional teams and marketing to design consumer promotions, set target quantity for sale and ensure delivery of planned objective for activity.
  • Manage the trade spend budgets, track and review ROI on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team - finance, supply chain, HR in activities such as S&OP, people related payback review vs AOC, man power deployment prioritization.
  • Lead the S&D planning and execution agenda launch of innovations.
  • Support the modern trade team to ensure best in class execution in MT and new product launches across key accounts in freezer category
  • Lead the thinking on S&D Strat Plan and periodically review the same with the regions and recommending timely corrective actions
  • Ideate and implement thematic activation platforms and 360-degree support across Channel X Brand matrix.


About you

  • Total 8- 10 years of experience, with at least 3-4 years as ASM experience in an urban/Metro market. Ideally experience in both GT and MT (GT is mandatory with at least 2 out 3 years in GT).
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in trade/customer marketing GT/TT channel either in a regional or national role
  • Relevant experience in the same space
  • Proven track record in GTM blueprinting & execution
  • Experienced in Trade marketing/Activations in GT/TT environment.
  • Proven Field sales experience
