JOB LOCATION: Chennai, Tamil Nadu
Position Description:
- Independently responsible for developing design, specification, selection and services relating to Shell & Tube heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Reboilers, etc
- Perform all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter with minimal guidance.
- Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Willing to travel globally and carry out short term assignments with other KBR offices/ client offices or with project site facility as needed to support projects.
Key Requirements:
- Thermal-hydraulic design calculations and analysis of new and existing heat exchangers using HTRI to evaluate performance.
- Perform basic mechanical design calculation using PV Elite to prepare thermal datasheet for Shell & Tube heat exchanger and Air Cooled heat exchangers including setting plan and tube layout.
- Prepare datasheet and requisitions, carry out technical bid evaluations and review vendor documents, provide inspection support for different types heat transfer equipment, e.g. S&T exchanger, Air Cooled heat exchangers, Plate heat exchanger, Multitube heat exchanger, etc.
- Good knowledge of major industry Codes and Standards (e.g., TEMA, ASME, API, etc.) applicable to Pressure Equipment.
