Banking is being reimagined—and customers expect every interaction to be easy, personal, and instant

We are building a universal banking assistant that millions of U.S. consumers can use to transact across all financial institutions and, over time, autonomously drive their financial goals. Powered by our proprietary BankGPT platform, this assistant is positioned to displace age-old legacy systems within financial institutions and own the end-to-end CX stack, unlocking a $200B opportunity and potentially replacing multiple publicly traded companies

Ultimately, our mission is to drive financial well-being for millions of consumers.

With over two-thirds of Americans living paycheck to paycheck, 50% holding less than $500 in savings, and only 17% financially literate, we aim to put financial well-being on autopilot to help solve this problem.

  • partnering with managers and employees on people-related matters.

This role requires someone who is highly execution-oriented, detail-focused, practical, and comfortable operating in a lean startup environment.

  • HR letters, policies, and employee communication
  • Vendor coordination where required
HR Process & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready employee records
  • Support HR compliance and policy execution
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, and external vendors
  • Improve operational efficiency and process hygiene
  • Build simple and scalable HR workflows and SOPs
  • Ensure consistency in employee lifecycle processes
HR Business Partnering
  • Support managers and employees on day-to-day people matters
  • Handle employee concerns and escalations with maturity and confidentiality
  • Support performance conversations and team effectiveness
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Partner with leadership during organizational or process changes
  • Help create a high-accountability and high-performance culture
Talent & Performance Enablement
  • Support performance review and feedback cycles
  • Assist with manager enablement and employee development initiatives
  • Support learning and development programs where needed
  • Help strengthen employee experience and engagement across teams
What We’re Looking ForMust-Have Experience
  • 8–12 years of HR experience preferred
  • Strong experience in HR Operations, People Operations, HR Generalist, or HRBP + Ops roles
  • Hands-on ownership of employee lifecycle processes
  • Experience handling payroll inputs, onboarding, offboarding, F&F, HR documentation, and HRMS systems
  • Strong operational discipline and attention to detail
  • Ability to independently manage HR operations without heavy support structures
  • Strong communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-changing environments
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in startups, SaaS, fintech, AI, product, or technology companies
  • Experience supporting engineering, product, or global teams
  • Experience working with India and US stakeholders
  • Exposure to performance management, engagement, or learning initiatives
  • Experience with HR systems, automation, analytics, or process improvement
  • Exposure to audits, compliance documentation, or organizational change management
What Success Looks Like
  • HR operations run smoothly, accurately, and independently
  • Employees and managers have a reliable HR partner on the ground
  • Onboarding, payroll coordination, documentation, and employee lifecycle processes are clean and efficient
  • HR processes become more scalable without becoming bureaucratic
  • Employee concerns and sensitive situations are handled with maturity and sound judgment
  • Managers receive practical support on people-related matters
  • The India office develops strong operational and cultural foundations as the company scales
This Role Is Ideal For Someone Who
  • enjoys being hands-on
  • likes building structure and improving processes

  • can balance empathy with business judgment
  • enjoys solving operational and people challenges
  • thrives in fast-moving startup environments
This Role Is Not Ideal For Someone Who
  • wants only a strategic HRBP role
  • prefers large support teams and mature corporate structures
  • is uncomfortable handling operational HR work directly
  • wants a narrowly scoped specialist role
  • prefers highly process-heavy environments with limited ambiguity

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
