We are seeking a hands-on Virtual Workspace IO Engineer with a strong DevOps mindset to join our team. The successful candidate will support and maintain on-premises and cloud workloads using Citrix and Microsoft technologies. The IO Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and architects, applying DevOps best practices to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management of virtual workspace environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support migration of on-premises workloads to cloud environments
- Maintain and troubleshoot Citrix, Microsoft solutions, resolving technical issues as they arise
- Develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts and tools (Terraform, Ansible, Python) for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Operate, monitor, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for image management and application deployment
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure consistency and repeatability across environments
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure reliable and secure delivery of virtual workspace services
- Perform routine optimization of cloud infrastructure for performance and cost
- Maintain and update system documentation for all environments
- Ensure assigned tasks and projects are completed within planned timelines
- This Job is for US Day Time schedule (regular shift worked between the hours of 6am - 6pm CDT)

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience in virtual technologies such as Citrix, Horizon and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Familiarity with cloud migration and automation concepts
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles
- Basic proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Terraform, Ansible)
- Proven solid organizational and analytical skills
- Proven good problem-solving abilities
- Proven effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Entry-level certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Hands-on experience with virtual technologies such as Omnissa Horizon, Citrix, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Amazon Workspaces, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Familiarity with IT service management principles (ITIL or similar)
- Familiarity with use of AI driven features and willingness to learn about AI/ML applications in virtual workspace environments
- Awareness of current AI trends in virtual workspace
- Demonstrated ability to assist in implementing AI-powered user interfaces, chatbots, and intelligent assistants under supervision
