Main Purpose: The role is an essential part of the Group Entities for ISS, supporting financial accounting and reporting across the Group Entities in the UK.
The role will cover:
- Ensure effective and efficient management of the local books of accounts, and finalisation of accounts.
- P&L Control Account / Balance Sheet Reconciliation to be performed for Group Entities and ensure necessary action is taken in subsequent months.
- Compliance with globally standardised processes for financial reporting.
- Adherence to Group Finance Policies as laid down in the Finance Manual.
- Ensure financial control, compliance, and transparency according to ISS’s corporate policy and statutory requirements
Key Accountabilities:
Finance Process Management & Reporting
- Responsible for book closure and finalisation of monthly accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation must be performed on timely basis and provide justification on open items reported.
- Analysis of variances in profit and loss account.
- Having good understanding on Balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation and aging calculation.
- Support internal audits, external audits and tax inspectors / investigations
- Ensure that all Inter-company invoices are prepared as per the group timelines
- Responsible for Group Inter-company recharges – Invoicing and accounting and related reconciliations.
- Ensure inter-co differences are communicated pro-actively and resolved prior to finalisation.
- Data analysis and information provision to various stakeholders.
- Review the Daily / Monthly FX rate uploaded in U4F and ensure FX revaluation exercise.
- Month-end data upload to Hyperion and preparation of management report packs
Key Deliverables:
- Preparation and Review of Financials
- Responsible for books closure on a periodic basis
- Speed and Accuracy of reporting requirements.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Essential:
- Working knowledge of IFRS and statutory accounting
- Experience in working in a multi-national, multi-cultural organization.
- Excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language (oral and written)
- Good time management
- Strong system skills / quick learner
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the shipping industry
- Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management system
- Knowledge of Unit4 Financial system/ Any ERP
