Job Purpose:
Leads test strategy, builds and manages automation frameworks, develops automation roadmaps, oversees CI/CD integration, mentors team and sets quality standards. Collaborates with multiple key stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery while optimizing costs and reducing manual effort. Focus on process improvement and risk mitigation. Measure existing processes to identify areas for improvement
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy and leadership: Define overall automation testing strategy, Create QA roadmaps and implement best practices for automation
Framework Development: Design, develop and maintain robust automated testing Frameworks
Team Management: Train and mentor QA automation engineers; manage team performance and development
Process and Integration: Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, optimize workflows and drive continuous improvements in testing processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with Development, Product and Devops teams to align testing with project goals.
Reporting & Analysis: Analyse quality metrics, report on test coverage, bugs and automation ROI to stakeholders
Essential skills required:
Programming Language and Frameworks:
C#: The primary programming language for developing automation scripts and frameworks
.Net Framework/.Net Core: The underlying platform providing libraries and runtime environment for C# applications
(Having hands on experience in any OOPs based programming languages (like Java and C#) preferable C#)
- Test Automation Frameworks: Selenium Web Driver, Nunit/MSTest
- API testing Tools: RestSharp/HTTP Client, Postman/SoapUI
- CI/CD tools: Azure Devops/team city/Gitlab
- Versioning control System: Git, Bitbucket
- Database technologies: SQL, Postgres
- Reporting Tools: For generation comprehensive test reports and analytics
- Good to have knowledge on the Docker tool
Knowledge
- Any Professional degree in computer science
- Aability to quickly understand the business processes.
- Technical Knowledge: SQL, C#.NET, Webservices (XML, SOAP, HTTP, REST API), REST SHARP, AWS Cloud.
- Testing tools: Zephyr, XUnit, Selenium, Sonar Cloud, Appium, Postman/SoapUI/ Rest-assured
- Test Driven Development methodology
- Agile product management tools: Jira, Confluence
- DevOps tools (desirable): Bitbucket/GitHub, Sonar Cube, Team City, Selenium
- Knowledge of maritime, Finance, Supply chain and logistics (desirable)
Skills
- Test Automation, Test Driven Development methodology, C#.NET, XUnit, TestRail, Sonar Cloud, Selenium, Rest Sharp, Shift Left testing principles
- Hands on experience on Selenium / Playwright, C#, Automation frameworks.
- Effective verbal & written communication skills in English
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Strong collaborative and partner approach
- Software engineering skills with high tech resilience
- Agile development methodologies
- DevOps mindset and Live site first approach
Experience
- 15 years in Software testing and quality assurance and predominantly in automation testing.
- Creating and executing test plan, test cases, test scenarios, automate testing for software products.
- Experienced at building Object Repositories within test automation environments.
- Exposure to Agile Methodologies.
- Experienced in assessing and developing the test automation framework.
- Exposure to Object Oriented programming language, C#
- Prior experience with automated testing tools (Selenium);
- Experience using defect management tools. Experience in agile methodologies
- Desirable experience: Performance Testing, Security Testing, Test Driven Delivery
