We’re looking for an Industrial Designer to join our Spectacles Design Team!
What you’ll do:
Lead projects end-to-end from initial concept to final production including sketching, prototyping, CAD modeling, and rendering
Drive complex, innovative designs that enhance our user experience, collaborating with multiple disciplines across product design engineering, UX, thermal engineering, and prototyping to develop solid design solutions
Refine designs with obsessive attention to detail
Analyze trends in the consumer electronics industry to inform design decisions
Communicate your ideas and projects through sketches, prototypes, CAD models, illustrations, renderings to leadership
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent design thinking, iteration, and problem-solving skills
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Up-to-date knowledge of consumer electronics trends and developments
Ability to execute impactful and feasible designs
Deep understanding of manufacturing and development processes
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field
4+ years professional experience in consumer electronics
2+ years working with NX or Solidworks
2+ years working with Adobe Creative Suite and rendering software
Preferred Qualifications:
Portfolio showcasing strong problem-solving
Experience with 3D printing and physical prototypes
Solid technical understanding of consumer electronics

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):
The base salary range for this position is $157,000-$235,000 annually.
Zone B:
The base salary range for this position is $149,000-$223,000 annually.Zone C:
The base salary range for this position is $133,000-$200,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
