Enverus Market Research team is a research and consulting division and a publisher of one of the leading industry databases for the Energy industry. Enverus is looking for Interns to be part of their Market Research's Power & Renewables teams.
This entry-level position is designed to support the team by ensuring consistent data collection practices. The role involves managing the integration of structured datasets with ongoing projects, as well as reading, reviewing, and cleaning data from unstructured sources such as PDFs and news articles. The candidate will be responsible for specific data collection tasks and will develop innovative solutions to enhance energy market coverage. Key responsibilities include analyzing news feeds, collecting federal energy filings, and running various data importers.
Someone in this role should have enthusiasm for the energy industry, technology, and product development. A successful Intern will be self-motivated and have a critical eye for data issues.
Role Competencies and Skills:
Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills
High energy level and self-motivated
Proficient in the Microsoft Office product suite, particularly Excel, and Word
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Maintain and optimize existing data collection and ingestion processes
Research and evaluate new datasets for potential use cases and product value
Support project leads with data collection and product enhancement initiatives
Conduct ad-hoc research and participate in team sprints to clean and add new project data
Understand the fundamentals of power generation and distribution across the grid
Identify and analyze data discrepancies
