We are a global leader in the supply chain execution market, focused on accelerating the transformation of digital supply chain for industrial and finished goods shippers and carriers by combining best-in-class solutions for challenges tied to yard management, shipment visibility, and asset management, across rail, truck, and multi-mode transportation. We’re hiring super bright engineers to join our Chennai team as we transform how the things we eat, wear, and play with are transported worldwide. In this position, you will have an opportunity to make major contributions to our next generation transportation and logistics software for the marine industry. You will work together with colleagues to define system requirements and build state-of-the-art software and will collaborate with the existing QA Team to assist the larger community of Developers, Quality Engineers, and Product Managers in delivering high quality, innovative applications. You must be a quick learner, have excellent communication skills and be able to maintain ownership of large engineering projects through their lifecycle: architecture/design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and support. This position has unique opportunities for growth in both the functional and technical direction. Responsibilities • Join an Agile team coordinating with a Product manager, lead developer, and QA lead • Create new product features for our global customers using test driven development • Work on every level of the stack-frontend to backend, and everything in between • Take end-to-end ownership of your part of the functionality • Keep up to date on new technologies and share your knowledge • Participate in the full development life cycle from definition and design to product delivery Requirements • BE or B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology\ • Proven object-oriented programming skills with Java and/or C++ preferably • Experience with RDBMS and SQL (Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL) • Strong knowledge of design patterns / data Structures • Strong analytical abilities with debugging and troubleshooting skills • Good oral and written communication skills • Preferred Skills: o Experience in programming enterprise or web applications o Knowledge of broader Java and JEE stack (e.g JDBC, JMX, JPA, JMS) o Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax and various frameworks o AppServer experience (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss) o Experience with REST APIs o Open source frameworks such as Spring o Ability to contribute to Open Source projects o Working knowledge of AI-based tool sets for coding is a big plus The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned from time to time or the scope of the position may change necessary to business demands.
