Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join Standard Bank’s Digital Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for building secure, scalable, and high‑performance iOS applications for retail and corporate banking customers. Experience in banking, financial services, and payments ecosystems is essential.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced applications for the iOS platform using Swift and related frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features aligned with banking and payment product roadmaps.
- Integrate mobile applications with payment gateways, banking APIs, authentication services (OAuth2, JWT, biometrics), and core banking systems.
- Ensure application security and compliance with PCI-DSS, regulatory requirements, and internal security controls.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve performance, memory usage, and app responsiveness.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Write and maintain unit tests, UI tests, and support automated deployment pipelines.
🔹 Required Skills & Experience
- 4–8+ years of hands-on experience in iOS development.
- Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Objective‑C (optional).
- Experience with Combine, Core Data, Core Animation, and RESTful API integration.
- Proven experience working on banking, financial services, UPI, card payments, digital wallets, or mobile payments.
- Strong understanding of encryption, secure coding practices, tokenization, and financial app security standards.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Xcode
- Git / Bitbucket
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Firebase, Crashlytics
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Jira/Confluence.
🔹 Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ISO 8583, ISO 20022, or banking transaction systems.
- Knowledge of microservices, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience building high‑availability mission‑critical financial applications.
