We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst Applications ( Manufacturing Application IT Analyst) to join our Construction Industries IT team for our CAT IT Division.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Application IT Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, SAP ERP systems, Azure Cloud technologies, and data analytics tools. This is a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing operations through innovative IT solutions.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Hosur , BCP.
What you will do
Job Roles and Responsibilities
System Analysis and Design:

• Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement through technology.
• Design and implement efficient IT solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

SAP ERP Support and Optimization:

• Provide functional-level support for SAP ERP modules relevant to manufacturing, including production planning, materials management, and quality management.
• Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Configure and customize SAP to meet evolving business needs.

Azure Cloud Migration and Management:

• Lead the migration of manufacturing applications and data to Azure Cloud.
• Ensure seamless integration between on-premises and cloud-based systems.
• Manage and optimize Azure resources to maximize performance and cost-efficiency.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

• Leverage Snowflake and Power BI to extract valuable insights from manufacturing data.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.

Application Development and Maintenance:

• Develop and maintain custom applications using appropriate tools and process.
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for applications.

What you will have.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in manufacturing IT, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP ERP systems, particularly PP, MM, and QM modules.
• Proficiency in Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure IaaS, PaaS, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools (Snowflake, Power BI).
• Experience with application development using languages like Python, Java, or .NET.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills desired:
Technical Analysis : Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies, and activities in technical analysis; ability to forecast the direction of technical landscape using technical indicators and take collective actions.
Level Basic Understanding: • Lists commonly used technical analysis tools and technologies. • Documents key technical analysis procedures and policies. • Describes basic concepts and major activities associated with technical analysis. • Identifies the sources of information to extract the required data and technical indicators.
IT Environment: Knowledge of an organization's IT purposes and activities; ability to create an effective IT environment for business operations.
Level Basic Understanding: • Names key IT departments, functions, and players. • Gathers information on key IT initiatives and projects. • Describes key activities performed by IT professionals and managers. • Identifies major roles and responsibilities of the IT function.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Level Basic Understanding: • Cites examples of functional and non-functional requirements. • Describes basic concepts and major activities associated with requirements analysis. • Explains the life cycle context and scope of requirements analysis. • Explains the structure and components of effective requirements analysis documents.
