The IT Business Unit Int Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:

  • Tracks business unit performance against the IT business plan and service level agreements; identifies gaps.
  • Contributes to and / or creates internal communications.
  • Works on mergers & acquisitions activities. Creates and prepares reports, metrics and presentations.
  • Utilizes good understanding of procedures and concepts in own area and basic knowledge of other technical areas. Applies good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing objectives.
  • Provides informal guidance to new or lower level employees. Makes evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
  • Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams. Exchanges ideas and information in a concise and logical manner.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a technology planning role.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform Data analysis and contribute in map/gap exercise
  • Tracking project deliverables. Maintaining sprint plan and liaising with the business users.    
  • Working with solution architect and client subject matter experts, the candidate is responsible for documenting the current state of the business and technical architecture
  • Keeping track of all the show stopper issues and driving the closure of these issues by working closely with our technology partners
  • Working with the onsite development team and providing necessary overlap coverage to ensure smooth transition and communication between offshore and onsite
  • Assisting the SIT team in building functional test cases to test/certify complex functional requirement
  • Should be involved and provide key feedback for building analytic reports. Work closely with the business intelligence reporting team in building the state of art business intelligence capability
  • Develop and conduct a wide range of tests and analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements
  • Ensures essential procedures are followed and helps to define operating standards and processes
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in similar roles
  • Must be good with English written and verbal communication        
  • Must have comprehensive experience in working on Regulatory reporting initiatives
  • Profound knowledge on Whole sale and retail products, General Ledger and accounting principles
  • Prepare and produce recurring internal reporting/presentation materials while ensuring accurate and consistent communications
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyze large volume of data
  • Possess a very good ability to grasp the underlying business process and ability to work as an individual and in a team
  • Effective in on-site/off-shore model and coordination
  • Assume functional ownership of the solution and manage scope of the project effectively
  • The candidate should also be experienced with multitasking, balancing tasks with priorities accordingly
  • The person has to be results-oriented, willing and able to take ownership of engagements
  • The candidate should have strong analytical skills
  • Hands-on technical experience is a plus
