Build your operational muscle, ship real improvements, and learn how modern infrastructure actually runs.

This isn’t a “reset passwords all day” internship. You’ll be the first line for CloudLinux’s internal infrastructure, working from clear runbooks, fixing real problems, and automating away toil—with a mentor and a team that expects you to ship meaningful work. We’re looking for people who enjoy tinkering with Linux + Networks + VMs & Containers + Clouds, automating away toil, and applying product thinking and empathy toward users. If that’s not you, this role won’t be a good fit.

Key responsibilities:

  • Triage and resolve L1 tickets using runbooks; escalate clearly when needed.
  • Handle SSO/access, VPN, DNS/domain, light Atlassian admin, and basic provisioning.
  • Automate repetitive work with Bash/Python/Terraform/Ansible; keep docs and runbooks sharp.
  • Support internal teams like customers—focus on quality, speed, and reducing friction.
  • Learn SRE fundamentals hands-on: reliability, performance, capacity, and automation.

Requirements

Must-have skills:

  • Basic grasp of software, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and passion for innovation.
  • Desire to learn continuously and read broadly.
  • Confident Linux user (terminal, logs, ping/traceroute/dig).
  • Bash, basic Python, Git.
  • Clear English and attention to detail.
  • Studying or recently graduated in CS/IT (or equivalent experience).

Nice-to-have skills:

  • SRE basics, Atlassian admin, DNS/TLS/VPN, CI/CD, monitoring, clouds, containers, IaC.

Benefits
  • Work on real project tasks in an Agile team
  • A strong focus on professional development with opportunities for learning and growth:
    • Interesting and challenging projects,
    • Mentor and other knowledge-exchange programs,
  • Fully remote work with flexible working hours, that allows you to schedule your day and work from any location worldwide;
  • 10 days of national holidays, and unlimited sick leaves to ensure you maintain a healthy work-life balance;
  • Compensation for private medical insurance;
  • Co-working and gym/sports reimbursement;
  • The opportunity to receive a reward for the most innovative idea that the company can patent, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
