Title: IT Project Manager (Infrastructure / Real Estate)
IT Project Manager with Infrastructure build experience within Financial Services / Banking office relocations. Strong
emphasis on Cabling infrastructure, Telecoms, Networking, and Audio-Visual systems, based in Pune, India.
Services: The ITPM will provide the following professional IT services to the Client.
Project Management
. Run the IT project stream, responsible for development of overall scope, budget and schedule to ensure deadlines are met
. Develop the project schedule and critical paths, including procurement and delivery timelines;
. Tracking of issues and points of attention
. Attend project and vendor / construction meetings
. Run IT project meetings with stakeholders
. Draft weekly reports
. Work with appointed Interior Designer, MEP and overall internal and external PMs
. 3rd party vendor management
. Budget oversight for IT Stream integrating into the appointed overall PM (internal / external)
. Joining weekly key stakeholder meetings
Engineering and Design
. Coordinate requirements for IT equipment spaces design, including but not limited to rack layout and
design, server racks selection, telecom rack design, structured cabling routes, port counts and designs based
on Client IT requirements and standards.
. Work with the appointed Real Estate design and project management teams to review layout plans for the
premises, furniture, electrical, physical security systems, as required to considering IT requirements and
standards
. Work with Client network team for the network design and relocation considering timelines for equipment
procurement and data line orders
. Work with Client Physical Security team for the security system design
. Work with Client A/V teams for A/V systems design
. Work with Client Desktop (pc’s phones et) teams to validate desktop hardware setup at the Client locations
along with any Desktop cabling requirements
. Work with Client telecom team and external PBX vendor for the future telephone design and procurement
including system selection, carrier comparison, redundancy (DR strategy)
. Work with Client Cabling infrastructure teams and appointed cabling vendor for infrastructure design
. Prepare CAD drawings for cable routes, port locations. Also prepare detailed CAD drawing for Comms Room
including power and space requirements for all systems. Prepare rack elevations.
. Coordinate with appointed furniture and construction vendors to specify cabling, power, and space
requirements for Client IT for user areas.
. Provide cabling patch schedules as per Client IT requirements (implementation by others)
Tender Management
For IT cabling and Comms Room infrastructure, provide tender management services:
. Prepare and issue approved RFP documents to prequalified contractors, and vendors
. Receive, review, and qualify proposals
. Make adjustments for comparison purposes and liaise with bidders, as needed
. Prepare final recommendation
. Negotiate contractor/vendor contracts and timing
Implementation
Manage the migration and / or procurement and installation of:
. Manage procurement of any lines related to the LAN, WAN, server, trading telephony, external IT
vendors, PBX, server, data lines, voice line, leased lines, broker lines
. Manage the new installation or migration of any lines related to the LAN, WAN, server, trading
telephony, external IT vendors, PBX, server, data lines, voice line, leased lines, broker line
. Work with client and coordinate the procurement and installation of Networking systems, desktop
IT, AV, and cabling infrastructure
. Work with Client and coordinate the procurements and installations of physical security systems including door access control and cameras.
. Work with client to coordinate desktop relocation and new desktop setups.
. Work and coordinate with the appointed facilities vendors for Furniture, UPS, MEP, and security, to ensure IT requirements are defined and installed
. Provide construction administration for cabling infrastructure, Comms Room, and power installation
as it pertains to IT systems to ensure infrastructure and power are installed as per IT specifications and required timing
. Coordinate installation of external circuit and vendor hardware installs
Equipment Relocation Coordination and Management
Coordinate on behalf of Client and provide consultation services to Client in relation to:
. Office systems relocation management and strategy
. Cable patching and service migration services
. Coordinate among vendors (including, but not limited to, preparing system documentation from
various vendors and summary reports on the cost of vendors for evaluation will be provided)
. Reconnection of all desktop, AV and related peripherals as per the original configuration
. Thorough testing of all IT equipment using a defined test methodology, document results and troubleshoot connectivity problems if/when they occur
. Full testing and certification of system operation
Project and Budget Closeout
Coordinate and manage the following tasks and deliverables:
. Ensure rectifications of defects are completed before system handover and monitor/minimize
defects during the defect liability period;
. Issue completion certificates;
. Full system documentation including test results and product manuals, in electronic means for future
modification and extension provision.
. Training for systems administrators and users on any changes in the IT systems resulting from the move.
. Any other post-relocation support as required by the Client
. Obtain Client sign-off on IT aspects of the project.
