Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications. As a core member of our development team, you will deliver innovative solutions that support business objectives across diverse industry domains. Your expertise will contribute to building reliable software systems, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and adopting industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in Java (version 8+), with extensive experience in object-oriented programming and core Java APIs
Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring (including Spring Boot), Hibernate, and Struts
Familiarity with IDEs like Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, or NetBeans for efficient development
Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server, including writing queries, stored procedures, and data modeling
Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
Version control experience with Git
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of microservices architecture and REST API design
Exposure to containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus
Experience with automated testing tools (JUnit, TestNG, Selenium)
Overall Responsibilities
Develop, test, and deploy high-quality Java applications and APIs aligned with business requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver robust solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and organizational standards
Debug and resolve technical issues, optimize application performance, and improve code quality
Design and develop database schemas, queries, and stored procedures to support application needs
Follow secure coding standards and ensure data integrity and compliance requirements are met
Participate in code reviews, functional testing, and deployment activities
Document technical specifications, architecture, and operational procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing
Keep abreast of emerging Java and software development technologies, integrating relevant innovations into projects

Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5+ years of professional Java development experience within enterprise-scale projects
Proven expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Java applications
Experience working within Agile teams, delivering iterative features, and performing code reviews
Demonstrated ability to optimize system performance via code and query tuning
Experience working on application integration, API development, and cloud-based deployments is a plus
Industry experience in finance, healthcare, or enterprise software preferred; relevant project experience acceptable
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop new features, bug fixes, and enhancements for enterprise Java applications
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and perform functional testing to ensure system quality
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve performance issues or bugs efficiently
Participate in planning meetings, sprint reviews, and agile ceremonies
Maintain documentation of code, system architecture, and deployment procedures
Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance standards are enforced
Stay informed on new Java features, frameworks, and industry best practices for continuous improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Java SE certifications are a plus
Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable Java enterprise applications in a professional setting
