We are seeking a Java Developer & Support Engineer with 4+ years of experience in Core Java and strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and SQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both application development and production support, including troubleshooting, incident management, deployment support, and performance optimization. The role requires hands-on experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, log monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure application stability and timely issue resolution.
- Looking for a candidate with 4–6 years in Site Reliability Engineering / Production Support with strong exposure to high availability, performance, incident management, SLA adherence, RCA, problem and change management, observability and capacity planning.
- Practical experience in OpenShift/OCP: application deployment, managing pods/deployments/services/routes, working with ConfigMaps/secrets, resource monitoring, log analysis, rollback and scaling in production environments.
- Strong experience in application monitoring using Grafana (and similar tools): building/maintaining dashboards, tracking application health, response times, throughput, error rates, CPU/memory, pod health and infrastructure metrics; improving alert/monitoring coverage.
- Experience with FeedHub or equivalent enterprise feed platforms: monitoring feeds/integrations, troubleshooting failed/delayed/incomplete feeds, validating dependencies/data availability, analyzing events/logs and performing RCA for recurring feed issues.
- Hands-on with AutoSys for job and workflow monitoring: identifying and resolving failed/delayed/stuck jobs, analyzing schedules, dependencies, conditions and logs; performing restart/rerun as per approved production procedures.
- Capable of providing L1/L2 support across applications and batches: investigating application, performance, integration and batch issues; analyzing logs, stack traces and metrics; participating in incident bridges/war rooms and coordinating with dev/infra/partner teams.
- Experience working within enterprise incident, problem and change management frameworks (e.g., ITIL), including production deployment/rollback coordination and adherence to governance and approval processes.
- Working knowledge of Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, Splunk/ELK, Git, CI/CD, Jenkins and DevOps practices, with SQL skills and exposure to at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Ability to track and improve production availability, latency, error rates, incident trends; enhance monitoring/alert coverage and automation; optimize batch/feed processing and overall application performance.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; clear communication and stakeholder management; high ownership and accountability under production pressure and tight SLAs.
- Proven ability to work effectively with development, infrastructure, business and upstream/downstream teams across locations and time zones, especially during incidents and major releases.
- Willingness to participate in on-call/support rotations as required and manage production issues during extended or off-business hours.
