In this role you will be a member of the Maconomy Services Team assisting the business as usual team.  Your role will grow as we further deploy and expand our Maconomy coverage both geographically and capability. 

Reporting to the Maconomy Core Helpdesk Manager and managing Jira ticketing system.  This is a great role to grow your Maconomy knowledge with hands-on experience and training available to you. 

This is an exciting role working with the wider Maconomy Services team to provide an outstanding level of Maconomy support, development, compliance, governance, and security on a day-to-day basis and in support of Maconomy project deployments. 

The Maconomy Services team provides the post go-live support, maintenance, and enhancement of the Maconomy solution that replaces some of our core technology and influences our ways of working for many of our colleagues at WPP.  

This ERP programme will see Maconomy deployed across our global landscape to address the technology needs of Finance, Projects. The key to this programme is that technology is an enabler for change, it’s at the heart of what we do, but it’s not all of what we do. The people, process and compliance aspects of this programme are necessary to its success. You will help deliver that success on an ongoing basis for many years to come. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the Jira ticketing system, ensuring it operates smoothly and efficiently.
  • Managing the creation of project status, monthly reports, and deliverable reviews
  • Assist with ad-hoc project requests as needed by project teams.
  • Ability to write complex JQL queries to retrieve data from Jira and generate custom reports.
  • Automation, and customer portal management.
  • Promptly acknowledging JIRA tickets raised by OPCO key users or business users.
  • Following up with users to obtain any additional information necessary for resolving issues.
  • Sending the Required User Acceptance Testing (RUAT) information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Creating custom filters and JIRA dashboards to enhance tracking and reporting of project progress. 

What you'll need:

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience working in complex global organisations as a Jira Admin.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • In-depth understanding of Jira's functionality, including workflows, dashboards, filters, and permissions.
  • Previous experience in an IT support role or a similar capacity, providing user support for Jira.
  • Capable of working with technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to document processes and create user guides for Jira.
  • Experience in providing training and onboarding for new users on Jira best practices and features.
  • Certifications in Jira administration or Atlassian products are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with other Atlassian products (Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to develop training materials and sessions.
  • Strong organisational skills and time and task management.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Creative solutioning and strong problem-solving skills with agility for fast and simple solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
