We are looking for a Junior Game Designer to join our team and contribute to the creation of immersive gaming experiences.
As a Junior Game Designer at Hypemasters, you'll work closely with experienced designers, artists, and engineers to develop and refine game mechanics, systems, and features. This role requires a mix of creativity, problem-solving, and a solid understanding of game design principles.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and developing new game mechanics, systems, and features while collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring these elements to life.
- Support LiveOps with configuration files for sales and events, helping with the roadmap to create a holistic approach to the player's experience
- Create and maintain detailed game design documents, user stories, and wireframes, contributing to feature development and UI/UX layouts.
- Design, plan, and execute live events, in-game activities, and promotions to enhance player engagement and retention, while supporting monetisation strategies and player satisfaction.
- Analyse player behaviour and game metrics to identify trends, optimise live content, and make
- data-driven design improvements for both gameplay and live events.
- Collaborate with the game design team to implement new features, updates, and optimisations that drive live game performance, and help maintain a balanced and positive player experience.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, playtesting, and usability testing, contributing innovative ideas and gathering player feedback to iterate and improve game features and KPIs.
- 2+ years of experience in game design within the mobile gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and player engagement.
- Proficiency with game design tools and Unity.
- Basic understanding of analytics and data-driven design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and take feedback constructively.
