Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Bay City GPS on a full-time basis.
The Role:
The Launch Sr. Controls Engineer will address production issues alongside quality, manufacturing, and maintenance teams. The Launch Sr. Controls Engineer will be expected to maintain and improve existing production processes by using continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Configure, program, test and troubleshoot PLC based control systems and associated components.
  • Electrical troubleshooting and testing of controls systems, control panels, and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose and correct deficiencies in manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Develop innovative solutions.
  • Design and deploy intuitive user interface displays.
  • Propose and evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Support and actively interact with manufacturing and quality groups.
  • Continuously improve quality, cost, responsiveness & safety.
  • Interface with OEMs.
  • Collaborate with Execution Controls Engineers.


Additional Description
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 5 years of Controls Engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work off-shift and over-time as needed.
  • Allen Bradley/Siemens/Fanuc/PLCs/Fanuc Robots experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.


What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 8+ years of Controls Engineering experience.
  • Launch experience.
  • Master's degree in engineering.
