This highly strategic role involves reviewing and approving contract and deal structures, ensuring compliance with payment and pricing, profitability, commercial negotiation levers, product deliverability, revenue recognition and solution components. Deal Desk plays an integral role in high-impact initiatives and helps to drive continuous improvement in how we sell, structure, and scale - balancing commercial agility with operational discipline. Role Responsibilities: "What You'll Do"
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the sales organisation and support functions in order to facilitate deals
- Take ownership of the contract deal cycle for the company's highest value customers ensuring to handle escalated concerns proficiently and work towards a positive resolution for both our customers and Personio
- Ensure that all deals adhere to the internal revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines
- Evaluate current processes and offer recommendations for areas of improvement
- Establish strong and trusted working relationships with all internal teams and stakeholders that provide inputs to deal structures or may be affected by non-standard elements of a deal
- Set and demonstrate high standards, holding both yourself and other team members accountable for excellence
- Play a leading role in driving process changes, analysis of business proficiencies both within the team and company-wide, and enablement of team members and numerous other internal stakeholders alike
Role Requirements: "What You Need to Succeed"
- 5+ years experience in Deal Desk / Finance / Operations
- Proven track record in a Deal Desk role in a fast-paced SaaS environment
- Strong structured problem-solving skills along with ability to demonstrate practical judgement in complex situations
- Excellent understanding of SaaS business & sales models and operating metrics; hands-on experience developing and refining a Sales & Bookings based business model with a focus on Deal Desk / Sales Finance processes
- Strong understanding of software revenue recognition and order process principles
- Proven record of mentoring and developing employees in a global environment
- A self-starter with a strong desire to make a positive impact on the organisation
- Excellent knowledge of Salesforce, including a proficient working knowledge of CPQ
