An IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining the technological infrastructure of an organization. They ensure that the computer systems and networks are running smoothly and are always available to employees. 

The IT Infrastructure Engineer is expected to have a deep understanding of computer networks, servers, databases, and other technical infrastructure components. They need to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for technology and a desire to learn new things. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Design and develop the technological infrastructure of the organization. 

Install, upgrade, update, and configure computer systems and networks. 

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the infrastructure. 

Support vulnerability remediation and patching incidents. 

Ensure that the computer systems and networks are running smoothly and are always available to employees. 

Monitor the performance of the infrastructure and make recommendations for improvements. 

Conduct regular backups of data and ensure the security of the infrastructure. 

Develop disaster recovery plans and procedures. 

Collaborate with other members of the IT team to ensure that the infrastructure is integrated with other systems and applications. 

Provide technical support to users of the infrastructure. 

Stay up-to-date with new technological trends and developments. 

Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering. 

In-depth knowledge of computer networks, servers, databases, and other infrastructure components. 

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Strong attention to detail. 

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Excellent communication skills. 

Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies. 

Experience with disaster recovery planning and procedures. 

Knowledge of security best practices. 

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools. 

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. 

Experience in project management and team leadership. 

Certification in relevant technologies (Microsoft, VMware) is a plus.
