Job Overview:
We’re seeking a Lead QA Engineer to spearhead our quality assurance efforts. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving the QA lifecycle, developing test strategies, and leading a team towards delivering high-quality software releases.
Responsibilities:
- Execute test cases and document software defects.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application features and requirements.
- Develop and maintain test plans and test cases.
- Report and track defects using test management tools.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure resolved issues do not affect other parts of the application.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning sessions.
- Ensure test environments are set up correctly.
Requirements:
- 5-9 years of quality testing experience required
- Test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
- Defect tracking tools
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database queries
- Understanding of web and mobile application testing
- Familiarity with testing methodologies and techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- An ability to work independently across multiple projects, and to meet deadlines
- Experience in team handling and mentoring them
