Job Overview:

The Lead Linux Developer is responsible for designing and developing advanced applications for the Linux platform while ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features, integrating external data sources and APIs, and conducting unit testing for reliability. Staying updated with emerging technologies and continuously improving development efficiency are key aspects of the role.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop advanced applications for the Linux platform, ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with external data sources and APIs.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software development.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Linux development.
  • Proficient in Python.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON to connect Linux applications to back-end services.
  • Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
