ROLE PROFILE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Performance Test Specialist who is passionate about system performance and quality to join our Customers Identity & Access Management team at LSEG. . This role requires expertise in both backend and frontend performance testing, with the ability to analyze requirements, design effective performance test strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong communication skills and a growth mindset.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

• Build and maintain shared automated performance testing frameworks for both backend and frontend applications .
• Provide reusable performance libraries and templates for DevOps teams.
• Implement AI-driven performance testing and reports where applicable for performance optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze performance requirements and define clear, measurable performance objectives.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and provide technical recommendations to development and infrastructure teams.
• Utilize tools such as JMeter, DevTool, k6, Lighthouse, or similar to simulate load and monitor system behavior.
• Provide coaching and training to QA engineers and developers on performance testing best practices.
• Work closely with DevSecOps and SRE teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present performance results and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously learn new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 7+ years experiences in performance testing for both backend and frontend systems.
• Significant experience working with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Strong knowledge of performance testing tools and monitoring solutions.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, identify performance issues, and propose effective solutions.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments and containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Passion for continuous learning and sharing knowledge with others.
   

Bonus skills:

• Familiarity with GitLab CI or other CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Datadog or similar observability tools e.g Grafana, Prometheus
• Postman and PowerBI tool
