Lead Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Quality Engineer to join our Risk Intelligence division within the Digital Identity & Fraud (DI&F) Engineering team. Do you have a passion for technology? As part of the Bengaluru Risk Intelligence division within the Digital Identity & Fraud (DI&F) Engineering team you'll be delivering these solutions, helping our customers protect their brand and make smarter decisions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate Quality Engineering Lead Quality Engineer to join our growing team as we strive to deliver excellence to our customers. You're a self-starter who will be part of an empowered management team working on our portfolio of Risk Intelligence Engineering products.
Role Summary:
You'll be part of a team which has adopted a truly Agile approach to deliver enhancements which drive the growth of the product. We are strengthening our automated test capabilities, and you will be instrumental in driving QA initiatives which ensure we delight our customers with all that we deliver. People are key to achieving this, so working with your team on their professional development will be an important part of your role. Leads quality control tests and analysis of outcomes to ensure technology solutions meet or exceed user acceptances standards and requirements.
Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using .NET (xUnit, Rest-Assured) and UI automation tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
- Drive Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD) practices through 3‑Amigos collaboration and Gherkin/Cucumber adoption.
- Lead end‑to‑end quality engineering efforts, ensuring software meets or exceeds functional, technical, and user‑experience standards.
- Create, review, and optimize test plans, scripts, and documentation to align with organizational standards and technology strategy.
- Define, implement, and continuously improve a QA strategy aligned with Agile principles and delivery processes.
- Provide hands‑on leadership across functional, automation, and performance testing, including designing and supporting performance test automation.
- Establish, refine, and govern Quality Engineering standards, best practices, and metrics, empowering teams to evolve them responsibly.
- Analyze requirement specifications, collaborate with Business and Technical Analysts, and proactively raise clarifications.
- Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of customer‑facing technologies, escalating issues when required.
- Recommend, champion, and implement enhancements to quality frameworks, processes, and tooling to improve efficiency and product quality.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Expert Quality engineer (8+ years) with excellent knowledge of the C# language, Selenium, playwright and Automation tools.
- Capable of motivating and energizing others, as well as gaining their respect.
- Experience in leading small teams, preferably in an Agile environment
- Experienced Programmer and/or Automation Tester, with good technical skills C# and/or Python other similar programming language
- Experience of using Selenium, playwright or other functional test automation tools
- Self-starter - does what it takes to get the job done
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment
- Experienced, able and keen to work using Agile development methodologies
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience of test tracking tools
- Proficient using source code management tools such as Git or SVN
- Familiarity with and/or accreditation in Azure/AWS or similar Cloud technology

Desired Skills/Experience Required:
- Experience with API interfaces and Frontend testing
- Understanding of multithreading.
- Experience in Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
Education/ Certifications:
• A good relevant degree is desirable, but experience and the right approach to work are just as meaningful.
