As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will play a crucial role in this initiative, dedicated to delivering an outstanding banking experience to our customers. You will work in a collaborative environment as part of a diverse, inclusive, and geographically distributed team. We are seeking individuals with a curious mindset and a keen interest in new technology. Our engineers are naturally solution-oriented and possess an interest in the financial sector and focus on addressing our customer needs. We work in teams focused on Platform Engineering.
You will become a vital member of our Identity & Security squad, which is a part of the Cloud Platform Engineering tribe. Your role will be central to our innovative AWS cloud-native ecosystem that supports the Chase UK bank, a trusted institution for over 2 million customers. Your focus will be on a broad range of technologies related to Chase's IAM and security aspects of our platform, including standard IAM technologies (such as SAML, OIDC and RBAC) and the design and implementation of custom tools (in Python or Go) to fulfill stakeholder requirements. We are seeking team members with a proven track record in the aforementioned areas within a public cloud environment, who possess a curious mindset, excel in collaborative squads, and have a passion for new technology.
Job responsibilities
  • Take ownership of IAM and security aspects of Chase to ensure its risk and control landscape is upheld to a high standard
  • Implement industry-standard IAM solutions such as SAML, OIDC, RBAC etc and integrate them with various systems within Chase
  • Identify gaps between existing systems and security requirements; design and implement solutions to improve systems and processes with an automation-first mindset
  • Interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders across JPMorganChase to gather and clarify requirements, formulate requirements into projects, and provide support to other business initiatives

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Formal training or certification on managing workloads within public cloud providers (preferably AWS) concepts and proficient advanced experience
  • Good knowledge of developing Terraform code to manage AWS infrastructure
  • Good experience managing IAM-related systems or vendors - strong understanding of IAM concepts and principles such as SAML, OIDC, RBAC, Active Directory etc. is a must
  • Good knowledge of programming using Python or Go with an automation-first mindset
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and collaboration skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Familiarity with security best practices within software development lifecycle
  • Experience in a regulated environment and understanding of technology controls
