Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the modernization of our Trade capture platform, using cutting-edge stream processing technology.
As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Banking's Cross-Channel Experience Management (CCEM) Segmenting, Targeting, and Positioning (STP) team, you will be responsible to help modernize our Trade capture platform using stream processing technology to achieve high throughput, high availability and low latency critical for our business success across multiple asset class. You will be expected to provide guidance and coach junior members of the team on technical matters.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirement from Product owner and stakeholders.
  • Build, test and deploy the new platform using state of the art proprietary technology from JPMorgan Chase and open-source technology.
  • Prepare documentation.
  • Train and on-board our production management group.
  • Provide third level support.
  • Participate in managing and planning the book of work.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote best practices.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technology background with experience in object-oriented programming, test driven development viz Python.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a global team.
  • Self-starter and willing to work in a dynamic environment with constantly evolving priorities.
  • Event Streaming platform: Kinesis / Kafka


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:.

  • Experience with SecDB / Athena / Quartz platform.
  • Experience with FIX protocol and reactive technology.
  • FX or commodities Business knowledge.
