Job responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Ensure database performance, stability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of database solutions.
- Maintain and enhance existing database systems with a focus on stability and resiliency.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- 9+ years of hands-on experience in database engineering, with a focus on Any RDBMS viz. Sybase / Oracle / Postgres.
- Proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and stored procedure development.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile practices.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Ability to solve complex problems and a proven track record of high performance and delivery.
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working in financial services, preferably in a Trade management setup.
- Understanding of equity/credit derivatives trading and products.
- Experience with NoSQL databases and caching technologies.
- Experience working on AWS.
- A desire to learn about the Derivatives domain and technology.
