Are you a Software Engineer/Developer that wants to be at the heart of analyzing, designing, and programming cutting-edge software enhancements and new products in a collaborative environment? 

What You Will Do

As a senior software engineer in Forest Management, you will be part of a small but dynamic, high-performing, product and engineering team that is responsible for delivering software which is used by some of the largest land-owners in the world. As a full-stack developer, you will leverage your expertise and experience to design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable and configurable full-stack applications, ensuring seamless interaction between front-end and back-end systems. 

Utilising the latest techniques and advanced tools (such as Cursor), you will rapidly prototype, refine, and validate features for our global customers. 

Joining a Single-Threaded Organisation (STO), where the team is responsible for the strategy, design and execution of our software products, and we are all aligned around the vision for our software, your experience and expertise will contribute to the success of the team.

  • Analyse, design, program, debug and modify our software products, which are used in a variety of deployment environments, including on-premise, private cloud and Trimble SaaS.

  • Using current programming language and technologies, write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications. 

  • Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. 

  • Be responsible for the full life cycle software development activities including new product releases, upgrades, functional enhancements, defect resolution, and performance improvements.

  • Test and deploy changes to deployments set up for continuous deployment.

  • Build scalable and sustainable solutions, utilizing engineering best practices in an agile, team-oriented and collaborative environment.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • BE/BTech. in Computer Science Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in delivering quality software in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on application performance, security, and scalability.

  • Strong expertise in Angular.

  • Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.

  • Ability to build responsive, user-friendly, and scalable UI components.

  • Solid hands-on experience in C# / .NET.

  • Designing and implementing RESTful APIs and services.

  • Working knowledge of SQL Server and other relational databases.

  • Ability to write efficient queries, optimize performance, and design schemas.

  • AWS experience is required (deployment, cloud-native services, CI/CD), with Azure knowledge an added advantage.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices (Docker, pipelines, infrastructure as code).

  • Strong knowledge of Git/version control and Agile practices.

  • Ability to work closely with geographically distributed, cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Strong written and verbal and communication skills - asynchronous communication is vital - with the ability to write business and technical specification documents that convey complex analysis and solutions clearly and concisely

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex business processes and systems

Desirable:

  • Highly desirable - experience in integrating and working with ESRI and geospatial solutions

  • Exposure to Generative AI (Gen AI) and its applications in real-world solutions.

  • Experience with NoSQL database technologies.
