About the Role:
As a Licensing Analyst based in Nicaragua, you will help ensure that Remitly meets licensing and regulatory requirements across the Americas, UK, and EU. You will maintain licenses, prepare regulatory filings, and coordinate responses for audits and reviews. You'll also work with colleagues in Compliance, Legal, Finance, Data Analytics, and Operations to improve workflows, support reporting, and keep Remitly's operations aligned with regulatory standards.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working under deadlines. If you enjoy interpreting regulations, coordinating projects, and improving processes through clear communication, this could be a great fit.

You'll report to the Licensing Manager within the Global Regulatory Compliance team.

You Will:

  • Prepare and submit license renewals, periodic reports, and responses to regulatory inquiries
  • Track licensing deadlines, reporting obligations, and regulatory correspondence across the Americas, UK, and EU
  • Organize documentation and coordinate responses for audits and regulatory exams
  • Maintain databases and spreadsheets of licensing requirements, filings, and project deliverables
  • Update processes and documentation when regulatory or business changes require it
  • Work with Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Data Analytics teams to improve workflows and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Compile periodic licensing metrics and dashboards for internal reporting

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, licensing, regulatory reporting, or risk roles in financial services, payments, or fintech
  • Familiarity with licensing processes and regulatory reporting requirements in the Americas, UK, or EU
  • Experience preparing filings, renewals, and reports for regulators
  • Experience supporting audits or regulatory exams, including organizing and submitting documentation
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them to compliance tasks and processes
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including using formulas and maintaining tracking spreadsheets
  • Experience using tools like Jira, Monday.com, or similar platforms to track tasks and projects
  • Ability to write clear documentation and reports for regulatory and internal audiences
