Job Summary:
We are looking for a QA Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in both Mainframe testing and Tosca automation. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of test planning, execution, and automation in Mainframe environments, with hands-on expertise in using Tosca for end-to-end test automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for Mainframe applications.
- Use Tosca to automate test cases and build robust regression test suites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, and Ops) to understand requirements and provide test coverage.
- Validate batch jobs, COBOL programs, JCLs, DB2 database interactions, and MQ messages.
- Perform data validation and ensure test completeness on mainframe systems.
- Analyse test results, log defects, and track them to closure using defect tracking tools like JIRA or ALM.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Required Skills:
- Mainframe Testing (COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, FileAid, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Tosca (Modules, Test Cases, Test Data Management, ExecutionLists).
- Strong understanding of test lifecycle, SDLC, and STLC.
- Experience with test management tools like HP ALM/QC, JIRA, Xray, or Zephyr.
- Knowledge of batch processing, file validation, and data reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
