The DGO Manager will manage data stewards, ensure data integrity, oversee master data processes, promote best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet business requirements.
The DGO Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring data stewards, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet business service level requirements. This position is integral to the Order Management department's success, overseeing processes for master data and operational data across a global enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data stewards, ensuring their professional development and adherence to policies.
- Manage and integrate master data related to item codes, descriptions, and categories, maintaining data integrity.
- Oversee processes for Customer, Vendor, and Material Master Data, including new creations, changes, and blocking.
- Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to maintain data and process quality, implementing corrections as needed.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to validate master data policies and address any non-compliance.
- Apply best practices for mass data updates and perform validation and corrections via audit reports.
- Act as a Change Ambassador, promoting and ensuring the adoption of new processes and implementations.
- Develop standard procedures, user guides, and training materials, providing training as required.
- Utilize analytical skills to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to the evolving needs of the business.
- Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of team building and management.
- A deep understanding of business needs and the ability to translate them into system and master data requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a matrixed organizational structure.
- A methodical and detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy and organization in data management.
- Proficiency in SAP Master Data Management and familiarity with ERP Master Data processes.
- Experience with computer system validation and validated testing is highly advantageous.
- A customer-centric mindset with a focus on process improvement and a global perspective.
- Understanding of Vendor and Customer Management in a diverse, international context.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with 10-15 years of relevant data management experience.
- Experience with Service Now, SFDC, Vertex, and D&B is a plus.
