JOB DESCRIPTION
In this role a process-driven, strategic employee would help build and support the Enterprise Deal Desk function working together with stakeholders in Global & Strategic Accounts, Sales, Legal, Operations, and many other stakeholder groups. The goal of this role is to help improve deal velocity and success rate for high-value deals, while helping users navigate the internal UL contracting and deal processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as trusted advisor and advocate for the sales team on key deal structuring, advise on alternatives, possible ramifications, or value propositioning to help guide deal closure.
  • Interprets custom deal requirements and aligns with stakeholders to gather inputs including cross-sell strategy, price points, and incentive to meet client/prospect needs.
  • Builds pricing program, calculates profitability, and uses data analytics to arrive at final recommended price.
  • Coordinates meetings between stakeholders to present recommendations and ensure full deal transparency.
  • Collects approvals as regulated by discounting rules, legal and finance guidelines.
  • Collaborates with Contract Governance for customer contract templates.
  • Maintains a Deal Desk repository for pricing proposals.
  • Maintains KPIs with different insights (quantify size of opportunities priced, turnaround time, and deal type (global, non-global, government).
  • Develops government pricing programs and submits contracts through appropriate means. Increases sales efficiency and effectiveness by improving business processes and deal consistency, and standardizing deal terms while enforcing minimum contracting standards.
  • Ensures all transactions adhere to internal revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines and procedures.
  • Leads, coaches and develops staff.
  • Read and follow the UL Solutions Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors' degree in a quantitative discipline, economics, or marketing or equivalent education and work experience.
  • This role requires to work in a shift from 5 PM-2 AM IST.
  • 8+ years of experience in a deal desk, finance, contracts, or revenue accounting role.
  • 3 years managerial experience.
  • A thorough understanding of the pricing cycle.
  • Strong logic and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent Excel and data manipulation skills.
  • Experience with SFDC Quote to Cash CPQ tool (preferred).
  • Strong ability to build relationships across the organization.
