About the role:
The Educational Program Manager will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of Bhumi's education interventions under the Bhumi Clubs initiative. The role demands a balance of programmatic excellence, volunteer engagement, and team leadership to deliver impactful, scalable, and sustainable educational outcomes.
About the Program:
Bhumi aims to educate 1 lakh children and youth by 2035 through a volunteer-driven movement, where nurtured beneficiaries become future leaders, educators, and change-makers — creating a snowball effect of nurturing talent for an educated India.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality education programme delivery through structured interventions and effective implementation.
- Maximise learning outcomes of students in English, Maths, STEM (shelter homes), Environment Education (schools), and IT Skilling (youth).
- Improve volunteer retention and develop volunteer leadership to strengthen programme ownership.
- Sustainably scale the programme across regions through innovation, partnerships, and community engagement.
Educational Qualification/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Education, or a fellowship in education essential.
- 3+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in the education sector.
- Experience working with volunteers is essential.
Knowledge & Skill sets required:
- Good understanding of pedagogy.
- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with volunteers.
- Excellent communication skills- English.
- Proactive, Self-Monitored, Resourceful, Accountable
- Problem solving and Decision-making skills are essential
- Willingness to travel nationally and locally as required
- Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
