The global HR organization includes HR business partners, learning and development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee communications, and HR system operations.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Role Overview:

We are looking for an expert HR Manager to lead all aspects of the complete employee life cycle in a fast-paced technology environment. This role combines strategic HR partnership with operational perfection, ensuring flawless processes from talent onboarding to exit management while engagement and compliance.

This is a full-time, on-site role for an HR Manager specializing in Generalist HR (including operations) located in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Support

  • Support and collaborate with India HRBP to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Support in workforce planning, talent management, and organizational planning initiatives.

HR Operations Management

  • Lead all aspects of end-to-end HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration and Workday compliances
  • Lead compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and develop HR processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Work closely with Dept Heads/leaders, Legal, employment law team in the handling of employee relations issues and successfully conduct investigations, as needed.

Employee Relations:

Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations matters. Support and guide managers through sensitive ER cases, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance concerns.

Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Develop a positive, inclusive work environment that supports innovation and agility.
  • Lead employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Will be part of the team to lead employment branding initiative.

Performance & Analytics

  • Develop and lead performance appraisal systems to drive high performance.
  • Apply HR metrics and analytics to provide insights and support decision-making.

Project Management

  • Lead HR transformation projects, process automation, and digital HR initiatives.
  • Apply project management principles to deliver HR programs on time and within scope.

People

  • Work closely/collaboratively with all Customers based in India and other countries.
  • Develop the team member as successor in 3-4 years.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in culturally and geographically diverse environments.
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of promoting fairness and integrity in implementing HR policies, programs, and practices.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office, Workday systems, and HR modules.
  • Excellent consultative and relationship-building abilities.
  • Employee-focused approach; comfortable working in fast-paced, turnaround time-driven, and project-based environments.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, as this role will work closely with HR team members in India and potentially globally, as well as with Communication, Administration, Finance, and other functions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business Administration, or related field from a reputed management School. 8+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within tech or fast-paced industries.
  • Solid knowledge of employee life cycle management, HR and OD, labor legislation, and HR technology platforms.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth, vibrant environment with competing priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business Administration, or related field from a reputed management School.
