AGL has a newly created opportunity for Manager Operations Diagnostics & Analytics to lead our Operations Diagnostics & Analytics team.
Based in Melbourne, this team will be responsible for analytical support of AGL’s operational assets, providing operational monitoring and diagnostics of plant condition, develop and maintain predictive models and lead the development of Engineering Analytics, including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLM) and Machine Learning (ML).
This team is responsible for providing data-driven performance insights to support assets with plant and process optimisation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive the Operations Diagnostics & Analytics team to support sites with plant and process optimisation
- Developing centralised leadership for all operations, diagnostics and analytics functions across asset services.
- Identify opportunities for data-driven insights through maintaining stakeholder relationships across operational sites.
- Developing sophisticated models and applications to support advanced analytics engineering and converting insights to performance value.
- Develop use cases and deploy solutions using AI, ML and LLM.
- Leading and developing Operations Diagnostics & Analytics through pattern recognition, automated triage model, alerts and predictive and preventative operational modelling.
What you’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and drive a positive culture through active consultation and implementing change.
- Significant experience in an operations environment (e.g. power generation, oil & gas or mining).
- Experience implementing various Azure products such as DevOps pipelines, web apps, function apps, SQL servers or similar.
- Experience in Engineering Analytics and AI, ML and LLM
