The Manager will spend 80% of their time leading the HR sub-vertical (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and HR Operations) and the remaining 20% will be dedicated towards supporting the Admin & Finance sub-verticals on personnel-allied activities. All Madhi’s teams work together seamlessly to make magic happen day after day, doing whatever it takes to take us closer to the vision of reimagining school systems to eliminate the foundational learning crisis in India.

In this role, some of your responsibilities will include supporting the following:
In this role, you will manage the subvertical by:
● Implement organisational policies that are fair, transparent, compliant and in alignment to Madhi’s core values
● Plan and execute an inclusive & rigorous selection process, from identifying hiring requirements to successful onboarding
● Create and implement a framework that provides diverse and need-specific learning opportunities for all team members
● Execute team well-being processes and structures, including conflict management
● Co-design and implement performance management processes that include performance development plans (PDPs) and talent development programs
● Create a robust HR strategy for Madhi along with Senior Manager, and lead its execution through the year
● Identify and set up talent acquisition pipelines and leverage networks to find the best people for Madhi
● Leverage data to build a more cohesive understanding of the existing team strengths, gaps/risks, and strategise accordingly
● Develop an organisational culture with emphasis on quality, continuous improvement, team retention & development, high performance
Support Operations team to:
● Effectively execute HR Operations systems such as payroll, HRIS, goal setting process etc. to ensure optimal organisational efficiency and team satisfaction
● Ensure impeccable maintenance of all trackers & databases, and documenting of conversations, discussions or meetings related to team well-being
● Coordinate with relevant vendors and consultants for effectively implementing all HR Operations including hiring, legal compliance, payroll

Prerequisites include:
● Bachelor’s/master’s degree in education, Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, or related field.
● 4 - 6 years of work experience with at least 2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources
● A degree in a relevant field of study from a reputed institution. Specialisation in Human Resources will be an added advantage
● Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and G-Suite
● Excellent communication and documentation skills in Tamil and English
