We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Security Operations Automation team—an advanced engineering group driving the next generation of intelligent, autonomous cybersecurity operations. 

 

Your team will design and build scalable systems that combine traditional automation with AI-powered decision-making, agentic frameworks, and detection-as-code pipelines to reduce manual effort, accelerate incident response, and increase the reliability of security workflows. You will play a key role in shaping strategy, building a high-performing team, and delivering technical solutions that directly enhance the effectiveness of our Security Operations. The mission of Arctic Wolf Labs is to develop cutting-edge technology and tools that are designed to enhance the company’s core mission to end cyber risk, while also bringing comprehensive security intelligence to Arctic Wolf’s customer base and the security community-at-large. The Arctic Wolf Labs Engineering team partners with top threat & security researchers, data scientists, detection engineers, security operations professionals, and other engineering organizations to deliver on high-impact solutions to challenging problems. 

 

About the Role:  

  • Lead a team of software engineers focused on automating SOC workflows using cloud-native, data-intensive, and AI-driven systems 

  • Own end-to-end delivery of intelligent automation capabilities: detection pipelines, response playbooks, enrichment services, and agentic systems 

  • Partner with threat detection, incident response, data science, and platform engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and context-aware automation 

  • Guide architectural decisions for integrating LLMs, reasoning agents, and autonomous task execution frameworks into SOC tooling 

  • Prioritize and deliver roadmap objectives while maintaining high technical quality, code health, and team velocity 

 

About You:

  • 2+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role in cybersecurity 

  • 7+ years in backend software, infrastructure, or security-focused development 

  • Strong understanding of automation design patterns, data pipelines, and distributed systems 

  • Experience working with or integrating AI/ML components into production systems 

  • Ability to translate high-level SOC goals into scalable technical plans and engineering priorities 

  • Track record of growing and mentoring engineering talent, and leading cross-functional delivery
