Senior SAP Treasury Business Systems Analyst
Overview:
The Senior SAP Treasury Business Systems Analyst will lead the analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing support of SAP Treasury solutions within a global enterprise environment. This role requires 12+ years of experience in SAP and treasury-related systems, deep functional expertise in SAP Treasury modules, strong business insight, and the ability to convert complex business needs into scalable technical solutions. The analyst will work closely with global stakeholders, manage treasury-related projects, and ensure optimized, compliant, and efficient treasury operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to elicit and understand business requirements related to cash management, payments, debt, and risk.
Document business processes and workflows using tools such as use cases, process maps, and user stories.
Perform gap analyses and recommend system and process improvements.
Analyze treasury data flows to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
SAP Treasury Functional Expertise:
Lead the configuration, implementation, and support of SAP Treasury modules, including:
Cash Management
In-House Banking (POBO & ROBO)
Treasury and Risk Management
Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices and ensure alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
Create detailed functional specifications, design documents, and test plans for treasury systems.
Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Drive treasury-related projects including new implementations, system upgrades, and enhancements.
Partner with IT, finance, accounting, and global business units to ensure aligned objectives and successful delivery.
Report on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
Oversee all phases of testing: unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Support & System Maintenance:
Provide day-to-day support and issue resolution for SAP Treasury modules.
Deliver training sessions and develop user documentation for system users.
Ensure treasury operations adhere to internal controls, compliance policies, and external regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Identify and implement process enhancements and system optimizations to improve treasury efficiency.
Promote and implement best practices and innovations in SAP Treasury functionality.
Qualifications & Skills:
10+ years of experience in SAP Treasury, financial systems, or business analysis roles.
Proven expertise in SAP Treasury modules, including Cash Management, In-House Cash, and Treasury and Risk Management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work with complex data and processes.
Experience gathering business requirements and converting them into functional specifications.
Demonstrated success managing projects across cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps is desirable.
Exposure to SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) is a plus.
Experience working in global organizations and with international treasury operations is highly valued.
