Job responsibilities
- Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Document Automation tool - Use HotDocs to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams
- Design, write, comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality
- Collaborate with teams in multiple regions and time zones
- Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team
- Maintain technical acumen by pursuing formal and informal learning opportunities about technology, JPMorgan Chase products and financial services
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve delivery flow across product and technology
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- Minimum of 8+ years of Application work experience throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience with HotDocs Document Automation vendor software or similar template based program development tools
- Familiarity with Agile concepts including Scrum, JIRA Issue Tracking and Sprint Retrospectives
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and its various uses
- Familiarity with Tortoise-Git, JIRA, BitBucket as change management tools
- Use of Notepad ++ to read, understand and modify XML files
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong testing and debugging skills, strong focus on project delivery
- Experience in creating and managing development work plans, knowledge of version control practices and procedures
- Passion and ability to learn new technology and software tools
- Ability to function in small team environment without daily direction needed
- Being a Team Player: sharing information on tasks and challenges with the team daily and taking advantage of learning and teaching opportunities.
