Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Overview:
The PCB division develops and supports two major product lines AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and AOS (Automated Optical Shaping). These products span multiple generations of technology, including C++ based systems, Java‑based applications, and modern Web UI front‑ends used across different platforms.
The SW & SQE Manager will play a key role in establishing and scaling our new India engineering group, ensuring strong quality practices, impactful automation, and tight alignment with global R&D.

Mission: Build and lead a hybrid team - Manual QA, Automation, and SW Dev(second phase) to accelerate quality and delivery for PCB software 

Key responsibilities:
• Hire, onboard, and develop an 8‑person+ team in phases; set clear OKRs and quality KPIs
• Establish SQE processes (test plans, regression suites, defect triage, release readiness)
• Stand up/own an automation framework and CI integration for nightly and pre‑release gates
• Partner closely with PCB R&D (Yavne) on tooling, environments, and standards
• Drive cross‑site execution, status reporting, and executive‑level communication
• Vendor/partner coordination (e.g., lab access, tooling, external test support)

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Software/SQE engineering across mixed‑technology environments
    (experience with C++, Java, and Web UI stacks).
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals:
    • debugging skills
    • understanding of multithreading/concurrency
    • familiarity with large‑scale codebases
    • ability to work with cross‑platform builds and tools
  • Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
  • 3+ years managing QA/engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross‑site work (Israel–India).
  • BSc in CS/EE (or equivalent).
  • C++ experience is an advantage (AOI and AOS products use C++ in several core components).
  • Experience with Java‑based services or Web UI frameworks (React/Angular/Vue or similar) is a plus.
