Manager, STEM Content Analysis

We are looking for a Manager STEM Content Analysis to join our Conferences and Journals team, in Chennai.

This is an amazing opportunity to work in a key team responsible for the acquisition, selection, indexing and routing all scientific information aimed to support all Life Sciences content creation from a variety of sources, including conferences, journal articles and patents.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  

• Degree in Life Sciences
• At least 7 years of experience in a global corporate setting and with an extensive knowledge of LS&H content.
• Excellent skills in defining clear objectives, ensuring accountability, monitoring progress, measuring results, and delivering timely and objective feedback.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization.
• Good judgment in decision-making and prioritization.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

It would be great if you also had the following:

• Experience in pharmaceutical research and development
• Ability to delve deep into content and results.
• Ability to analyze processes, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
• Previous people and process management experience.
• Capability to work remotely with peers in an international environment.

What will you be doing in this role? 

• You will lead a team of content editors to create and deliver editorially enhanced research and development content while adhering to defined quality standards and meeting the timeliness and completeness goals.
• Monitor the progress of the direct reports and provide constructive feedback. Create a culture of success, motivating, and developing colleagues to achieve their full potential.
• Foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts through clear, concise, and empathetic communication.
• Support day-to-day activities of the team including hiring, mentoring, and supporting the career development of the team (objective setting, performance management, etc.)
• Build a customer-focused team and develop an environment that stimulates innovation.
• Play a role in major decisions and initiatives to enable the Content Function to achieve its long-term objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and content quality, initiate necessary projects, and present the outcome of projects to the leadership team.
• Work together with Product Operations, and Technology in the product development process.

About the Team  :

The team works for the products Cortellis Competitive Intelligence and Cortellis Drug Discovery Intelligence. The team consists of 21 colleagues across Spain and India (Chennai and Hyderabad) and this role reports into the Content Transformation Manager.
