As the Training and Instructional Design Manager, you are a player-coach that leads the design and creation of engaging and effective training programs for Lightcast’s employees and customers. You will be responsible for establishing and leading the product training function from the ground up. You are an expert who engages product leaders to identify, design, and implement Lightcast’s product and data certification programs.
Major Responsibilities:
- Drive product enablement, increase NPS, increase brand affinity, and lower time to value by pairing products with well organized and engaging learning content; define strong, measurable learning objectives and tie them to product goals.
- Own the development and delivery of Lightcast’s product training; drive the overall structure, curation and creation of content, and delivery of Lightcast’s new and existing product training content ensuring accuracy, clarity, and up-to-date information.
- Develop and deliver product training in support of product and feature releases to internal stakeholders including sales, customer success, and marketing.
- Define and refine the objectives for Lightcast’s product and data certification programs; deliver learning and development content to support certification programs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of certification programs to track its success; make improvements as necessary.
Abilities:
- Instructional design, particularly for adult learning
- Explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Exam and/or assessment design and implementation
- Building instructional programs from scratch with courses that build a learner’s skill set from beginner to expert
- A proven self starter
- Collaborative team player
- Excellent English-language communication skills
Education and Experience:
- 4+ years experience designing and delivering training programs
- Experience in leading and coaching small teams
